Ly Chhun Mom is a local artist residing in Ayr, Ontario creating landscape, floral, abstract and portrait art. She is the owner and creative behind Heart Song Studio, a small business specializing in commissions, original artwork and prints. She works primarily with acrylic paints on canvas. Her body of work consists of art created in the styles of realism, abstract and representational expressionism. To help the viewer connect to the world within and around them she uses lines, shapes, paint application methods and colour theory to invoke intense emotion and interaction with the painting. This can translate to thick impasto paint applications, flowing alcohol ink lines or smooth blended colours.
Ly Chhun is greatly inspired by nature. She often paints images that contain the elements of light, water and intriguing landscapes. She loves the outdoors and finds herself always framing a picturesque landscape with her camera for painting reference. She believes that exploration of nature and creating art are healing activities that can free your soul.
The collection of artwork on display is part of a series titled "Pieces of Heaven" They are captures of the beauty and profound healing nature has to offer. Each floral and landscape are gateways; a glimpse into heaven.
Located in downtown Ayr, the branch features a meeting room, study rooms, and public Wi-Fi. The building is wheelchair accessible and has parking beside the branch.
