Step into the vibrant flavours of the Caribbean in this hands on roti masterclass with Chef Arielle! You’ll learn the art of making Trinidadian "Buss Up Shut" - a silky, buttery, and flaky roti that earns its name from its "shredded shirt" appearance. We’ll pair it with a classic Curried Channa and Aloo, a light and aromatic braised chickpea and potato stew. It’s a mild, comforting dish where every piece of soft dough is designed to soak up that delicious curry.
Chef Arielle is a professionally trained chef with over 20 years of diverse culinary experience. Originally from the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago, she blends bold Caribbean flavours with classical techniques. After moving to Canada for culinary school over 15 years ago, she's worked throughout Niagara on the Lake and Waterloo Region, including six years as an Executive Chef at one of the world’s largest tech companies where she managed several kitchens and a large team. Chef is passionate about food education and looks forward to continuously sharing her expertise through hands on cooking classes.
