Teen Studio: Ceramic Freestyle Workshop

with the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery

For ages 13-17.

Get creative with clay! During this freestyle clay workshop, you can make and paint a small project of your choice. An instructor from the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery will demonstrate basic hand building techniques and show you how to combine simple forms with sculptural elements to create a unique and functional piece of art! After the workshop, the ceramic artworks will be fired in a kiln at the Gallery and finished with a food-safe clear glaze. In approximately 4-5 weeks from your workshop date, you will receive an email when they are ready to be picked up at the New Hamburg Branch. 

FREE Teen Studio Classes at the Gallery and across the Region are generously supported by the Lonsdale and Roberta Schofield Fund, the Ontario Endowment for Children and Youth in Recreation Fund, and The Hilde English Memorial Fund all held at Waterloo Region Community Foundation.

This program stream is running from April-December 2026 in 10 on-site sessions at the Gallery, and 10 outreach sessions with community partners in the Waterloo Region. Explore upcoming sessions here.
